The Vendetta Cartel is a Johannesburg based punk band and they asked me to design a T-shirt graphic for them. The band sings songs revolving around social issues and life in modern day South Africa. For the T-shirt graphic I wanted to use an image that reflected the hard hitting nature of the bands songs, tied in with their name, and also had a taste of latin influence as the singer originates from South America. In the end I think the graphic met all those criteria, and the shirt design was well received by the band and their fans.

Every year the Woodstock Festival invites Revolution to host their own stage at the event. For woodstock 9 they asked me to design the poster for their stage and I really enjoyed doing it.With Revolution being and activist based company I wanted to have the poster reflect a very DIY feel to it. Their logo which is a raised fist is an iconic image, and I combined it with the music theme by placing a microphone in the hand. Following on with the DIY / Revolutionary them I used red, black,a nd brown inks, as well as adding an aged texture to the overall image. To go with the poster I also did a double sided “loyalty card” which had the lineup on one side, and tokens on the other. these were stamped each time a person visited the stage, and prizes were given to supporters who collected all the stamps.
